The Bad455’s!
The Bad455’s are a Texas Rock 'n Blues show band that performs original and blues-rock standards inspired by the “twin trinities”—Stevie Ray Vaughan, Clapton, & Hendrix AND Santana, Setzer & Gibbons. (As you might guess, there’s a lot of guitar). They've played hundreds of dates in just about every place that hosts live music—festivals, restaurants, outdoor events, private parties, bars, wineries, meaderies, breweries, bars, taverns, honky-tonks, saloons, roadhouses, and First Fridays.
The Bad455’s are a rock ‘n roll force of nature. This guitar-based rock band fuses psychedelic sounds with a Texas sensibility. Based out of College Station, Texas, The Bad455’s perform throughout the “shadow” cast between Austin, Houston, and Dallas. Entertaining and electrifying audiences with their unique brand of “jump, stomp & shuffle” they always bring the show to the people.
The Bad455’s are a rockin’ trio that electrifies! Their high-energy brand of enthusiasm, virtuosity, raw talent, and Texas style positively excites audiences everywhere they play.
Guaranteed to rock the house!
The Bad455’s came together on the streets of Bryan, Texas, at a First Friday a few years ago. Our guitarist was busking for a small crowd on the sidewalk. Two of our bandmates were driving by when the clouds parted and a beam of sunlight descended on the scene. Our sound engineer screamed to our bass player, “Stop the truck! We just found our guitar player!”
We were getting the band together!

Warren Waren
Bad455 guitar player and vocalist
Together, Warren and his guitar MariGold create layers of driving rhythm, soaring solos, and true intensity that drives crowds wild. Improvisation is the name of their game. Each performance unveils new gems that were hidden deep inside familiar songs. When he is not stretching the seams of song and sound, Warren’s alter ego is masquerading as a mild-mannered professor at Texas A&M.
Randy Cowan
Bad455 bassist
Randy is the pulse of The Bad455’s. Inspired by Jack Bruce, he brings a modern flair to a traditional form. Randy represents the crossroads where rock ‘n roll meets the blues.
Travis Richardson
Bad455 drummer and vocalist
Travis “T-Rex” Richardson is truly a force of nature—the hardest working man on the stage. A gifted musician, a dedicated drummer, and a powerful singer, Travis lays it down like the pro he is. When he’s not creating fire with his sticks on the stage, he works with the Bryan Fire Department.
Sandy Cowan
Bad455 sound engineer
A great band needs a dedicated sound engineer who knows what the band is going for artistically and what the room can do practically. With state-of-the-art tools and years of experience, Sandy works behind the scenes to make sure we are never too loud and we never feedback.
Well…almost never.
MariGold
Bad455 guitar
Warren plays PRS guitars (MariGold is a Santana SE Model in Egyptian Gold; LadyBird is a Mikael Akerfeldt Opeth Model in Tortoise Shell), Hybrid Slinky strings (.09 to .46), Reissue ’63 Fender VibroVerb amplifier named Spanky, Zoom effects, and Crybaby Wah pedals.
